(No)Fish Cakes made with TUNO

These delicious Fish-less Cakes are great with a salad or as a snack! We enjoyed them with a vegan Greek yogurt dip but they’re also delicious with sweet chili!

You can use any TUNO flavor, and each of them will give you a completely different result!

Makes 6 patties.

Ingredients

3 cans of your favorite TUNO flavor, drained

½ cup onion, finely chopped

¼ cup chives, chopped

2 tsp vegan mayo

2 tsp mustard

2 tsp corn starch

¼ tsp garlic powder

1 cup breadcrumbs

Vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Drain TUNO cans and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add all ingredients (besides breadcrumbs and vegetable oil) and mix with a fork.
  2. Using a 1/4 measuring cup, shape 6 balls, and flatten them with your hands to form a patty shape.
  3. Delicately coat the patties with breadcrumbs (placed into a shallow bowl), and place in freezer for 30 min (This step will make it easier not to break cakes when frying).
  4. Put enough oil to cover the entire surface of a frying pan and bring to a medium heat.
  5. Fry TUNO cakes two by two, until golden.
