Vegan Pizza Rolls

These bite-sized vegan pizza rolls are a delicious and easy way to enjoy all the flavors of pizza! They make for the perfect snack or appetizer. Whether you’re using TUNO, CHIK’N or both, these rolls are packed with flavor and perfect for snacking or as a light meal.

Ingredients

For Pizza Rolls made with TUNO (with Tomato Sauce):

  • 1 package vegan pizza dough
  • 1 can TUNO or CHIK’N, drained
  • 1/2 cup (250 g) vegan mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (119 ml) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) dried oregano
  • Fresh basil to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

 

For Pizza Rolls made with CHIK’N in BBQ Sauce :

  • 1 package vegan pizza dough
  • 1 can CHIK’N BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 cup (250 g) vegan cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (37.5 g) fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Additional BBQ sauce for dipping

Directions

Preparing the Rolls:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza dough package instructions (usually around 375°F or 190°C).
  2. Unroll the pizza dough and lay flat.

TUNO Pizza Rolls:

For the Filling:

  1. In a bowl, combine the drained TUNO, vegan mozzarella cheese, black olives, red onion, and bell pepper.
  2. Season with dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Assembling:

  1. Spread the TUNO mixture evenly over the entire surface of the pizza dough.
  2. Drizzle the tomato sauce over the TUNO mixture.

Rolling and Slicing:

  1. Starting from one end, carefully roll up the pizza dough, creating a log.
  2. Use a sharp knife to cut the rolled log into approximately 8 equal slices.

Chik’n BBQ Pizza Rolls:

For the Filling:

  1. Open CHIK’N BBQ Sauce can.

Assembling:

  1. Spread CHIK’N over the entire surface of pizza dough.
  2. Sprinkle vegan cheddar cheese over the CHIK’N.

Rolling and Slicing:

  1. Starting from one end, carefully roll up the pizza dough, creating a log.
  2. Use a sharp knife to cut the rolled log into approximately 4 equal slices.

Baking:

  1. Place the sliced rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cut side up.

Baking:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed.

Serving:

  1. Remove the pizza rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  2. For TUNO Pizza Rolls, you can serve with additional tomato sauce on the side.
  3. For CHIK’N BBQ Pizza Rolls, offer extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
  4. Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the CHIK’N BBQ Pizza Rolls before serving.
  5. This method of assembling and baking the vegan pizza rolls adds a fun twist to the process while delivering the same fantastic flavors.
