neat pasta casserole

What’s more comforting than a pasta casserole on a cold, rainy, fall day? Make it vegan with neat meat and your family will love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. uncooked vegan pasta
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 pouch neat (pick your favorite flavor!)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1.5 marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ cup vegan shredded cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook vegan pasta according to packaging. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare neat crumbles: In a bowl, combine neat meat powder (use the entire pouch) and water. Mix well.
  4. Brown and chop on medium heat, just like ground beef, in a non-stick skillet for 7-9 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine pasta and marinara sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Pour half of the pasta in a baking dish and top with all neat crumbles. Then cover with the rest of the pasta.
  6. Sprinkle vegan shredded cheese on top and bake for 10 min. Serve immediately.
